Allow 2 radio systems on different channels or different bands to
communicate with one another. For example a VHF can communicate
with a UHF or a UHF can interoperate with an HF/SSB . This system
can also be set up as a cross band repeater allowing for multiple users
to intercommunicate. Simply connect the 2 radios of any type via 2
interconnect cables and you are set to go. It's that easy.

The IS-1 can be powered by a 9 volt battery for upto 40 hours or
can be powered by an external source such as a mobile radio or
using an optional wall power adapter. A monitor output is supplied
for monitoring radio traffic or outputting to a voice recorder.
